BLOOM Lab is a specialized outdoor learning program, in partnership with local schools, for students in grades Kâ3. This initiative centers on a culturally sustaining curriculum designed to foster a sense of environmental belonging and academic rigor specifically for Black and Latino children. BLOOM uses nature-based activities, such as gardening and journaling, to align with state standards and existing math and literacy frameworks.
To ensure success, the program requires a dedicated indoor school space and offers various investment tiers ranging from core instruction to comprehensive community engagement. Ultimately, partnership with BLOOM Lab aims to bridge the gap between academic excellence and the intergenerational knowledge of the natural world held by local families.
